Bios:
Angela Jackson is a certified organic farmer, and an advocate, educator, and international lead auditor with more than 15 years of experience in organic inspection, production for crops and livestock, quality assurance, and lead auditing across many organic, environmental, and animal welfare programs for national and private certification programs. Angela brings an international perspective and farmer lens to the ROA team. She lives on her farm in South Dakota with her family.
Harriet Behar has been an organic agriculture educator and advocate for many decades (Organic Farmers Association, UW Madison, MOSES) and an organic inspector, visiting thousands of organic operations. She has taught conservation activities and organic production methods to farmers, and a wide variety of agricultural professionals and consumers have benefited from her enthusiasm and deep knowledge of environmentally beneficial agricultural methods through written materials, podcasts, videos, webinars and in-person workshops. She and her husband have managed a certified organic farm since 1989, growing bedding plants, vegetables, herbs and small grains as well as having a small-scale commercial operation selling eggs and honey.
