For this Minnesota Women in Conservation Welcoming Wednesday Webinar on June 24, 2026,  we met with two conservation professionals with a long history of helping others write Conservation Plans. This discussion focused on simplifying the process - real talk about what is involved and why it matters. Whether you're just starting out in land stewardship or you are looking to deepen your practices, this conversation offered real-world knowledge, encouragement, and connection.

Bios:


Candi Fuller is based in Baxter, MN and serves as the District Conservationist Team Lead for Aitkin, Crow Wing, Cass, and Itasca Counties, overseeing a team of conservationists. In this role, she leads efforts to provide financial and technical assistance to area producers, fostering sustainable land management practices. Candi brings over two decades of experience to the conservation field, driven by an idea of empowering individuals to be stewards of the land.


Harriet Behar has been an organic agriculture educator and advocate for many decades (Organic Farmers Association, UW Madison, MOSES) and an organic inspector, visiting thousands of organic operations. She has taught conservation activities and organic production methods to farmers, and a wide variety of agricultural professionals and consumers have benefited from her enthusiasm and deep knowledge of environmentally beneficial agricultural methods through written materials, podcasts, videos, webinars and in-person workshops. She and her husband have managed a certified organic farm since 1989, growing bedding plants, vegetables, herbs and small grains as well as having a small-scale commercial operation selling eggs and honey.
