About the event
Minus 15? NO problem. It is cold outside but come have a great time in the Moorhead Library winter sowing with like-minded women. We'll be planting milk jugs: fill at our class and leave outside until spring! It's crazy fun!
Winter sowing is a simple, low-cost method of starting seeds outdoors during the winter months, using milk jugs as mini greenhouses. This technique allows seeds to naturally stratify and emerge strong and resilient in the spring. Participants will learn step-by-step how to prepare containers, select seeds, and care for winter-sown plants—all through hands-on practice.
This event is free and open to the public, and no prior gardening experience is needed. Supplies will be provided, and participants are encouraged to come ready to get their hands dirty and ask questions.
The workshop is especially welcoming to beginning gardeners, women farmers, conservation-minded land stewards, and anyone interested in growing food and flowers,…
