Join Minnesota Women in Conservation for this intimate tour of a working multi-species grazing operation with experienced market producer Jane Jewett. Whether you're just starting out or looking to deepen your practices, this tour and learning circle will offer real-world knowledge, encouragement, and connection. We'll end the day with a demo from Jane on handling and shearing sheep!
We’re lucky to be invited to Jane Jewett’s farm, WillowSedge Farm in Palisade. Jane will give us a tour and tell us about a water line she received NRCS EQIP cost-share for. The water line project is in two parts: one to run water to the east pastures, fed by a well at the barn; and one for the west pastures, fed by a well at the house. The goal of the water lines is to improve pasture utilization in the paddocks furthest from the water source. It has been difficult to…
